A mixed case of 6 bottles, with 3 each of the Silex 2023 and new Silex 2024.
Two delicious versions of our most complex and interesting wine style. (A favourite of a lot of the Flint team).
2023 -
Rich rounded and soft, 39% Chardonnay, 28% Pinot Blanc, 17% Pinot Gris and 16% Pinot Noir. 100% oak aged for 12 months, with majority older barrels but a touch of new wood to add a warming vanilla and smoke hint. Full malolactic fermentation for a softer buttery tone this wine was released in the winter of 2024, this wine has now had 15 months in bottle, giving a slightly savoury, toasty edge.
2024 -
The new release, a brighter and fresher style, with 66% Chardonnay, 24% Pinot Blanc, 6% Pinot Noir and 4% Pinot Gris. Majority in second fill oak barrels for 12 months, with a large part of the Chardonnay coming from our experimental concrete egg. This Chardonnay received natural battonage through the tank's convection currents. Natural malolactic fermentation and the addition of three barrels from 2023, gives this wine a elegant nose of lemon curd, almond and white peach leading to waxy lemon meringue and crisp acidity on the palate. Bottles January 2026.
The cost of delivery quoted includes delivery by courier to GB Mainland addresses (excluding Scottish Highlands). For other destinations a surcharge will apply.
We offer free express delivery for all orders of 6 bottles or more. A standard delivery charge of £7.99 is charged for all other deliveries.
All wines or goods ordered remain the property of Flint Vineyard until payment is received in full.
Orders will be shipped within 2 days of receipt of the order for next day delivery, providing the order was placed before 12pm Mon-Thurs (excluding public holidays).
