Winery Masterclass
Description
Two Saturdays per month | 10am-12pm or 2pm-4pm | £35pp | 90 minute tour
Calling all wine geeks, this fully dialled-in, dialled-up tour is for you. Usually there’s so much more we could say on our vineyard tours and casual chats, but we don’t want to overload: so we created our Winery Masterclass for those with a thirst to know much more - specifically about what happens in the winery.
Dates available to book from March - September.
22nd & 29th March, 12th & 19th April, 3rd, 17th & 31st May, 14th & 21st June, 5th & 19th July, 9th & 30th August, 13th & 20th September
This is your chance to get a detailed insight into what we do at Flint, from harvest day, to pressing, winemaking, maturation and blending. We’ll see the lab, bottling room and barrel room too.
And of course there will be wines to taste. During the tour there will be the rare opportunity to sample straight from the tank, and the final part of the tour is your guided tasting through four of our current favourite wines. Sound good to you?
Stay for lunch!
New for Summer 2025: Small Plate lunches from our chef Alex Firman. A curated selection of delicious foods hand crafted by Alex, from potted Norfolk pork with pickles to orange & fennel olives. Salt beef with honey mustard to Norfolk Dapple with chutney and crackers.
Our pre-set lunch is a wide selection from our current Small Plates offering at the Cellar Door for £24.50 per person. (Cheaper than buying each by the plate!)
We can cater to vegetarians, and any other dietary needs, simply select those options when booking and fill out the questions when booking.
If you don't fancy booking in advance, simply drop by and explore all the dishes!
For the morning tours, lunch will be served after the tasting. For Saturday afternoon tours, the lunch is served first, at 1pm.
Important Information
Both 10am or 2pm starts will meet at our cellar door to sign in.
If you book a lunch on an afternoon tour, the lunch is served at 1pm. Please arrive at this time, as the tour starts at 2pm.
The masterclass lasts around 1 hour plus the guided tasting.
We’ll be in the winery for the duration of the tour and tasting, there will be opportunities to sit or perch if you need to.

Frequently asked questions
If you can't find the answer to your question here, just email enquiries@flintvineyard.com and we'll be happy to help.
What if it rains?
We run our tours in all weather!
Please dress accordingly for the weather, if it's wet then raincoats and umbrellas are a must. If it's cold, please wrap up warm.
Sensible footwear is advised, but we'll mostly be on grass in the garden/vineyard so it's not too treacherous.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes!
We are dog friendly. It is worth noting though that there are often rabbits, pheasants and other animals throughout the vineyard, so if your dog likes chasing things, it might be best to keep them on a leash!
Can I bring children?
Yes, free of charge for under 18s on our tours. They won't be able to try any wines during tastings.
We are a working farm, so it's best not to let children run off too far, but we are family friendly and you're welcome to come and relax in the barn or garden.
Our Sundays at Camphill are also a really relaxed family friendly afternoon, with good food, great wine and some music.
Can you cater to vegans?
Yes! We can cater to any dietary requirements, as long as you let us know in advance when you're booking.
If we don't know ahead of the booked date, we may not be able to cater to you on the day.
Accessibility
We have low mobility parking at the farm by the winery. We aim to keep this available for those that need it most even on our busiest Camphill events. From there it's smooth concrete to the Cellar Door Shop and Wine Bar, and to the Winery as well.
The garden and vineyard are across some gravel and grass, but we're working on making this more accessible.
Cancellations
You can reschedule your booking at any time up to 72 hours before. You can do this through your booking email, or by emailing us at enquiries@flintvineyard.com
If it's not possible to reschedule, you can also cancel up to 72 hours before the day should you need to, with no questions asked, for a full refund. You can do this through your booking email, or by emailing us at enquiries@flintvineyard.com
If it's closer than 72 hours, we are unable to alter your booking, reschedule or cancel.
Should you have any questions, please email enquiries@flintvineyard.com

Concrete Egg Fermentation
You can’t help but notice the concrete egg that dominates our winery. It’s big, it’s egg-shaped and very concrete-looking. What’s it for?
