Flint Vineyard Logistics Assistant
Position Overview
We're recruiting for the part time role of Logistics Assistant here at the vineyard.
This role focuses on the efficient packing and dispatch of all trade and online customer orders, ensuring accuracy and excellence in customer service.
You'll also play a big role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across site logistics, stock control, and order fulfilment at Flint Vineyard.
An interest in wine and a professional attitude towards customer service are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Order Fulfilment: Trade and Online Orders

Pick, pack, and dispatch trade and online customer orders efficiently and accurately.

Coordinate wholesale collections to meet trade customer requirements

Ensure dispatch tracking and delivery confirmations are updated and communicated effectively.
Site Logistics and Inventory Management

Maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular stock checks and audits.

Monitor stock levels of packaging materials (bottles, boxes, etc.), ensuring sufficient availability for production and dispatch.
Purchase Order Management

Manage incoming purchase orders from trade customers.

Liaise with internal teams to confirm availability and delivery schedules.

Ensure accurate records are maintained for purchase order fulfilment and invoicing.
Operational Support

Maintain a well-organised warehouse and logistics area.

Operate warehouse equipment safely and effectively (forklift operation preferred).

Collaborate with the wider team to prepare stock for events, tastings, and tours as required.
Candidate Profile
Essential Skills and Experience:

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Experience handling customer orders and invoicing processes.

Ability to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy.

A customer-centric approach with professional communication skills.

This role involves significant manual handling, including lifting and carrying boxes (up to 20kg), moving pallets with a pallet truck, and general physical tasks. Candidates must be physically capable of performing these duties.
Desirable Qualifications:

Forklift licence or willingness to undertake forklift training.

Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, or stock management.

Prior experience in a wine or beverage industry environment.

Employment Type:

Part Time, averaging 16 hours per week.

Spread across peak trading days, minimum 3 days per week.
Salary:

£12.50 per hour.
