Hazy Bacchus No.1
We’re not shy here at Flint about the fact we like to experiment and we’re always trying new ideas. Our ‘Flint Labs’ project is the extension of that, a way of getting these small batch, trial wines out to you. We’re proud of these wines, and we’re excited for you to learn more about them.
Very few wines are suited to cans but this one is. Skin contact, low intervention, no filtration and zero sulphite additions give a hazy wine that is perfect for this vessel.
Tropical, textured and fresh with an oxidative character.
Best enjoyed lightly chilled, not too cold – just as it came out of our barrel
100% Bacchus from our own vineyards.
Open top fermentation on skins for 2 months, then aged in neurtral oak for 8 months.
No added sulphites.
100% malolactic fermentation.
No fining agents have been used so the wine is vegan friendly gluten free
Alcohol: 11 %
Residual sugar: <0.5 g/L
Titratable acidity: 5.3 g/L
